TRISTAN AMOR RABIT
ABOUT
Tristan Amor Rabit (b.1988 Wettingen, Switzerland) is an artist living and working in Berlin, Germany and Zurich, Switzerland. Their artistic practice encompasses a variety of media, including painting, video, installation, performance and text. Through these mediums, they explore themes of physicality, identity and the passage of time, employing both sensual and conceptual approaches. By creating permeable spaces that dissolve boundaries, Rabit embraces ambiguity and states that lie beyond fixed identities. Additionally, they reflect on how spaces can function as sites of refuge and transformation.
Tristan Amor Rabit studied graphic design, photography and cultural analysis in Lucerne, Geneva, Paris and Zurich. They are also involved in coordinating collective projects such as Collective TYFTR‚ LTD Academy Zurich and Warenlift. Their work was recently exhibited at H.A.I.N. (Dietikon, CH), Galerie Gluri Suter Huus (Wettingen, CH), Cité Internationale des Arts (Paris, FR), Culterim Gallery (Berlin, DE), Galerie Vitrine (Lucerne, CH), Aargauer Kunsthaus (Aarau, CH), Mains d’Oeuvre (Saint-Ouen, FR) among others.
